Headspace

To think of headspace,
It’s a wonderful place
Where I could get lost for hours.

But then life sours,
And I would cower
And hope for the power
To leave it with haste.

When I had lain
In quite some pain,
And had no place to go,

I’d become my own foe,
And finally throw
My consciousness into the world below
Where death could finally claim me.
